About Darrin T. Mish

Tampa is home. I've been fighting the IRS from this city since 1998. My practice, my farm, and my family are all right here in the Tampa Bay area. When I say I know the local IRS offices, the local courts, and the local laws, I mean I've spent 32 years working within them.

Before IRS work, I was a public defender. That shaped my approach: outwork the other side, find the weakness in their position, and never let a client face a bureaucracy alone. The IRS has unlimited resources. My job is to make those resources irrelevant.

Why Tampa Matters

The Tampa IRS office handles all of Hillsborough County and much of the surrounding area. Bankruptcy cases go through the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division. I've been in these offices and these courtrooms hundreds of times. A national firm's case manager has probably never been to Tampa.

When an IRS Revenue Officer shows up at your Tampa business, when a lien needs to be discharged before a closing in South Tampa, when a payroll tax case needs immediate attention, local presence is the difference between a phone call and a face-to-face resolution.

Outside the Office

I live on a cattle farm outside Tampa with my wife Heather, who competes in ranch riding. I collect vintage air-cooled Volkswagens. I host a podcast about IRS tax resolution. Over $100 million in tax debt resolved and counting.
